Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She was raised within a multiethnic household. Jacqueline's father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim is Malaysian. Her siblings include two brothers and an older sister. Her family was born and raised in Bahrain. The family of her parents moved there in the 1980s due to the civil war within Sri Lanka. After her schooling in Bahrain and after that, she received the Scholarship to study at the University of Sydney, where she completed a bachelor's degree with a major in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. An avid lover of different cultures and languages, she attended Berlitz Language School where she studied Spanish as well as enhancing her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was title in the month of March, 2006; she also took part in Miss Universe 2006 In the aftermath of winning the Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she stepped into the world of television and was the host of a show on Sri Lanka's business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone is the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. When she was in her teens she competed in national championships of badminton at both the regional and international level. However, she left the sport in order to make a profession as a designer. Padukone is of Mangalorean heritage and her native language is Konkani. Padukone Village is located inside Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka within India. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton and her mother is also a travel agent.
